LGBTQ activist teacher, Paolo de Buono, requested the Toronto Catholic District School Board to formally recognize Pride Month this June at a board meeting May 7.
Fortunately, 6 out of 12 trustees voted in defense of Catholic moral teaching and parental choice. They voted NOT to receive De Paolo’s delegation, so no motion was introduced to celebrate Pride Month in the TCDSB.
De Buono responded by asking supporters to contact the board’s director to recognize June 2020 as Pride Month in their schools.
PAFE’s President, Teresa Pierre, Ph.D. commented that:
“Parents make a choice when they send their children to Catholic schools. Parents expect and understand that Catholic moral teaching will be upheld. This activist Catholic school teacher undermines parental choice and parental rights by asking Catholic children to celebrate things which run counter to Catholic moral teaching.”
During this pandemic when everyone is focused on their family, health and finances, de Buono has started a petition for the school board to recognize June 2020 as Pride Month:
Do you know if there's an activist teacher in your school board who is trying to push an agenda through when parents are least expecting it?
