Bill 42, the Gender Affirming Health Care Advisory Committee Act, is NDP-sponsored, Progressive Conservative Party-supported, and currently before the Ontario Legislature.

It is an immensely dangerous bill that will further enshrine the biological falsehood of gender theory into our healthcare and other institutions, and stoke the social contagion of gender dysphoria, which has been growing astronomically, especially among young girls.

Bill 42 will rush even more young, gender-confused minors down the path of irreversible, mutilating and life-destroying treatments. 

All this despite the evidence that shows more than 84% of gender dysphoric young people come to accept the reality of their biological sex by adolescence or adulthood.

The life of American Chloe Cole provides a tragic example of the consequences of failing to take a “wait and see” approach to gender confusion.

Cole was put on puberty blockers and testosterone at 13, and had a double mastectomy at 15, but by 16 had detransitioned. 

Cole is now a prominent voice against the kind of “gender- affirming care” for children that Bill 42 will bolster in Ontario. She’s also suing the healthcare provider that guided her down the road of trans regret.

Bill 42 rejects science and disregards the long-term debilitating effects of transgender “affirmation” healthcare. It dismisses counselling, pastoral care, and any psychological treatment that doesn’t have a change of gender as its aim.

While this bill rushes Ontario into an era of “affirmation only” practice, the rest of the world has learned the hard way, and is turning away from it. 

Finland, Sweden, and the UK have all rejected the “affirmation care” model after conducting evidence reviews on the treatment of gender dysphoria in minors. They are now opting for care models that prioritize the complete mental health of the patient, while rejecting those that are  ideologically driven.

We must meet the prospect of Bill 42 with a resounding “NO!” and reject this push by a minority of radicals to weaponize our healthcare system to one that secures their agenda. 

The fruits of Bill 42 will be lifetimes of pain and regret for so many, especially young girls, who are being swayed and manipulated by a toxic and anti-science popular culture currently entranced by the great “transgenderism” lie.
