Brampton's All-Inclusive Change Room policy allowed children to be exposed to male genitalia

Schools, recreational centers, and other public spaces have been seeing an increase in "all-inclusive" (gender-neutral) washrooms and change rooms. It’s no secret that these are a horrible idea and can cause a lot of harm, namely putting children in danger. Stories of traumatized children, specifically little girls, who have been exposed to grown men naked in women’s change rooms or “all-inclusive” change rooms are becoming horrifyingly more common.

The city of Brampton has an all-inclusive change room policy, allowing males and females to share change room spaces. Recently, 11 children were exposed to male genitalia in a public locker room at a recreational center. This is horrifying, and should have never happened in the first place.

Strong policies need to be set by city councillors to ensure women’s and men’s locker rooms remain separate to ensure the safety and privacy of innocent children. There are over 25 community centers in Brampton. If this happened to 11 children in one rec center, how many more has it already happened to? The fact that Brampton city councillors have allowed all-inclusive changing facilities is absolutely atrocious, and needs to be immediately changed.

CALL TO ACTION: Please write to your city councillors demanding them to protect innocent children and change this policy by maintaining separate male and female change rooms!

It’s a change room. Every day girls get exposed to women’s genitalia, boys get exposed to men’s genitalia in the change rooms. All inclusive change rooms brings people together in a safe space, but that also means boys will get exposed to women’s genitalia and girls to men’s genitalia. My kids see it all at home as do most kids in a healthy home. It’s more the parents freaking out. The kids see what they see and it becomes less sexualized, which I believe is better.
