Remember the drama surrounding GSAs (Gay-Straight Alliances) in 2012?

Many parents were concerned that these student clubs in schools were just a vehicle for social engineering of our children, under the guise of bullying prevention.

While some Catholic school boards dismissed the name GSA and instead opted for "Respecting Differences" club, many Catholic schools operate clubs with the GSA title.

OECTA (Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association) recently released a video they created which promotes the "success" of a Gay-Straight Alliance club at St. Thomas Villanova Catholic school in LaSalle, ON located in the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board.

The video relates the story of one student's transition from female to male, and how the GSA is the reason this student was able to "come-out" (reveal herself as transgendered).

GSAs- whether in Catholic or Public schools- are being used as vehicles for the promotion of radical social ideologies to our children. The above example of this GSA within a Catholic school celebrates behavior contrary to Catholic teaching.

Our children and grand-children shouldn't be brainwashed at school by the next "progressive" feel-good trend of the day, especially not at a school with protected religious rights, which makes it all the more disappointing that this message is being sponsored by the Catholic teachers themselves.
