This past week MP Derek Sloan accused Justin Trudeau’s government of legitimizing a form of child abuse into Canadian law through Bill C-8.

Bill C-8 is proposed federal legislation that criminalizes any attempt to help a child accept the body with which they were born as “conversion therapy”, while promoting the idea of giving children artificial hormones and irreversible plastic surgery to mutilate and sterilize them as “gender affirmation”.

All this in spite of the fact that studies prove over 80% of children who experience confusion about their gender end up adjusting to their birth sex by the age of 18.

MP Derek Sloan has been very vocal about his opposition to Bill C-8, both because of the threat it represents to the health of children and because of its grotesque overreach by the state into parental authority.

C-8 will actually empower the government to jail parents for accessing any type of therapy that doesn’t ultimately support the idea of that child becoming transgender or acting on his/her same-sex attraction.
