The Ministry of Education of Ontario has quietly started consultation on education curriculum including the sex-ed curriculum.
Initially, the government only offered an online submission form, which is accessible by going to www.fortheparents.ca. The deadline for the online submission is December 15th.
Now, the government is also consulting on the sex-ed through telephone town halls. Below, you will find a list of dates and times for these telephone town halls.
We strongly suggest you register to participate in one of them. Please email me at [email protected] to let me know that you have registered for a townhall so that we can communicate with more specific information in the coming days.
It’s really important that your voice is heard, so please do participate.
Here are some points to remember:
- the government must stop teaching “liberal ideology” in the classroom including the controversial and unscientific gender identity theory
- the Minister of Education must issue a directive to all schools that advance notification be given to parents as to when these sex-ed lessons will be taught, and that parents will always have an opt-out
To register for a telephone townhall, go to:
https://www.ontario.ca/form/register-telephone-town-halls-about-education-ontario
Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first served basis. Registration for each session will close at 4 p.m. the day before the call.
If you don’t want to register for the call, you can try calling directly into the toll-free number: 1-800-871-5734.
Please note: If you are unable to attend a town hall in your region, please select a session from a nearby region.
